It was reported not long after the release of the game that two men actually fell over 40 feet from a cliff while playing the game. The men had climbed through a fence to get to a restricted area in their quest to catch Pokemon characters. This took place in San Diego, California.
The men are both in their 20's and the local fire department had to be called out to rescue the men. It was reported that one man fell about 75-100 feet and the other about 50 feet down the side of a bluff. Both of the men were taken to the local hospital where fortunately their injuries were not life threatening.
